You could say that I’m a physical education enthusiast. I spent 8 years in the physical education world as a teacher, coach, department leader, and entrepreneur. I am now a student in UMass Boston’s Instructional Design and Technology MEd.
In my time as a teacher, I couldn’t help but notice that some of my students left underserved. Locker rooms, team sports, public feedback, and sweating in school aren’t everyone’s idea of fun. I did try to be accommodating. Yet, many students still struggled. My current deep dive into instructional design has opened my eyes to the possibility that remote learning might help us reach a new subset of learners.
